The Romanian National Supervisory sanctions Globus Score SRL

On the 19th of November 2019, the National Supervisory Authority finalised an investigation, following a intimation, at the controller Globus Score SRL (formerly Instrumental Theory SRL) and ascertained the infringement of the provisions of Article 83 paragraph (5) letter e) of the General Data Protection Regulation, related to Article 58 paragraph (1) letter a) and letter e) and in conjunction with Article 8 of Government Ordinance no. 2/2001.
The controller Globus Score SRL was sanctioned with a fine in the amount of 9551.80 lei, equivalent to the amount of 2000 euros.
As the controller did not respond to the requests of our institution, it was initially sanctioned with a reprimand for violation of Article 58 paragraph (1) letter a) and letter e) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679.
Also, the corrective measure to transmit to the supervisory authority, in writing, all the requested information, within 5 working days from the communication of the report of the investigation was applied to the controller.
As the controller Globus Score SRL did not comply with the corrective measure ordered by the National Supervisory Authority, a fine was imposed.
At the same time, the corrective measure to transmit to the Authority, in writing, all the requested information was applied to the controller.
