European Data Protection Board

Rules of procedure and Memorandum of Understanding

The rules of procedure contain the most important operational rules of the EDPB. They describe:

  • how the EDPB is organised;
  • how its members work together;
  • how its chair and deputy chairs are elected; and
  • its working methods.

The Memorandum of Understanding is the agreement which determines the terms of cooperation between the EDPB and the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS).  It also applies to the staff of the Secretariat, which is provided by the EDPS to support the EDPB.
