Binding Decision 3/2022 on the dispute submitted by the Irish SA on Meta Platforms Ireland Limited and its Facebook service (Art. 65 GDPR)

The EDPB Binding Decision 3/2022 relates to a complaint-based inquiry on the lawfulness and transparency of processing for behavioural advertising in the context of the Facebook service, and addresses several questions including, in particular, whether the processing of personal data for the performance of a contract is a suitable legal basis for behavioural advertising.
